Description:

Iron City is a wonderful cabin selection for all Deer Valley Hot Springs guests. With a raised deck looking out on a splendid view of Mount Antero, the cabin offers some of the best views on the ranch. Once inside, Iron City becomes a wonderful home with a simple, yet functional, kitchen and a living room space centered around the fireplace located on the lower level. Guests can then ascend a short staircase to the bed and bath rooms, offering a feeling of privacy while you sleep. It also allows those early risers and night owls to spend some time in their cabins while others get some shut-eye without worrying about waking the whole cabin. Iron City is a pet-friendly cabin so your 4-legged companion can join in on the family fun.

History:

Iron City’s namesake is a small forgotten town on the outskirts of St. Elmo. Now a campground, Iron City was a smelter town for all the ore that was mined from the Mary Murphy Mine above St. Elmo. It only lasted a brief period of two years before succumbing to the end of the mining rush in the area. Pieces of the town and it’s mining equipment can still be found around the area and it is now the location of one of our best rock climbing spots.
